Walk Blocked: Bus Stop With No Sidewalk!

This pisses me off. I know the photo isn't the greatest, but take a look in the center there. It's a Long Beach Transit bus stop. This is just south of Clark Avenue and Wardlow Road. That's right. It's a bus stop with no sidewalk. There is also no nearby crosswalk to the other side of the street.

Clark right here is a terrible street. There are three car lanes in each direction. Cars drive quickly because the street is too wide. There are no bike lanes, and as I mentioned, no sidewalk on the west side. Couldn't the City give up a car lane on each side for a bike lane and sidewalk? No. That would make too much sense.

And we wonder why people don't walk and take the bus more.
